Should I stop texting a man I met 2 years ago abroad and really like?

I met a man abroad 2 years ago. We hit it off really well and went out several times. Ever since we got back, we send several texts a week. I really like him, I find him so cute, handsome, kind, funny. We’ve never met up after that, I would have visited him but I don’t want to feel like I’m chasing him. The other day I noticed another woman love hearting his Facebook posts and it sort of broke my heart. I couldn’t bare to see him go off with another woman even though being with a woman where he is is logical. I’m honestly so upset and wish I could be with him. But if he’s not going to make the effort to see me, should I just cut him out and stop texting him?
