How often do you walk him or at least take him out for potty breaks?

Yeah but I mean you can't just throw him back in the kennel he'll just start barking. I keep him in the kennel overnight so he knows it's bed time and he's usually quiet the whole night. Sometimes he barks at like 2am and i let him outside then back in the kennel he goes after 3o minutes of play time.

What is his feeding schedule?

Most animals sleep after they eat. Try feeing him around 10 pm and then give him a little snack if he wakes up in the middle of the night.
How old is the puppy? - 1 y
I was thinking the puppy was younger. He should be sleeping through the night now. I'm more of a cat person; mine always sleep through the night.

Have you tried putting him in a kennel and covering it with something to keep out the light?

It's aroutine practice wth many animals. Not cruel unless it severely restricts air flow.

He wakes up an hr before you do… not bad.

Seems normal. Not to sound judgmental, just slightly blunt and reasonable, but I never thought a pet would be a good idea for a single individual who works full time.

Yeah I agree, but our family has left every dog we've ever had home while at work and tons of people do it everyday. He's definitely more of a handful then any dog I've ever had but Im afraid I'm attached to him and he's attached to me and is used to my schedule so it is what it is.

Buy blackout currents.. it also helps reduce the noise.. and maybe a fan running will help drone out the noise so he doesn’t know the sun is out, lol.. incorporate turkey into his diet… like evening time. Or hire a dog walker during the day when you’re at work to get all his energy out or a night walk around the block

Or a crate with a light breathable sheet over it.. not entirely covering it in the front

When we bread our dogs, I always could tell which ones were more laid back, who was alpha, and the ones with adhd lol.. I could identify all their personalities and I gave them names and when people came by to buy them.. I would let them know..

I could always leave him out of his kennel and then wait until he barks to put him in. Sometimes he'll wake me up about 1 or 2 and ill let him out then stick him in his kennel the rest of the night. I forget to put him in it sometimes and he'll bark at me outside the bedroom door. He bites too much for me to let him sleep in my bed. Puppy bites that is.

I let my dog sleep on my bed with me and he’ll wait until I wake up..

Maybe yours is sleeping all day when you’re at work lol

But yeah maybe a fleece blanket and doggy bed inside the kennel may work and just a light sheet over it if it’s starts barking in the morning may work. Maybe keep it in your room until your puppy is trained

Trained to not be rowdy until you get up*

Well it’s he’s maxed out with sleep, you can’t blame it for being up…

Do you have a yard that you can tie him to a leash.. so he can just chill outside until you get home?
