The most attractive 10% do up to a certain age. Most of the messages are basically spam from sad men whom send the same message to many women. If you want to be successful dating online, look past the picture, read their profile, and send a message that responds to something in their profile. Also write a profile that says something specific about you, not just generic BS or bragging about your great life and possessions.

It varies. I'm not attractive and I got well over a 100 matches.
Pictures and picture content will make all the difference man. I've seen women with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde pictures.
I started out with just selfish and I didn't draw much attention. I took pics of me out with friends, family gatherings, out picnicking, at the ballpark. And the response I got was fivefold.
Make you pics good (they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. In this case it's totally true).
