I read a lot of horror stories online and I know roses have thorns so I won’t choose an attractive guy if his personality is unstable - Love is the only desire worth marrying or befriending or living with or protecting or working for. Lust is simply a grenade that bombs you with problems, I’ve had girls slander me because they lusted after guys who talked about me and I’ve had guys slander me or send me death threats over lust, and I’ve read about woman who got murdered by men they lusted after, safety and security and stability and service should be your smartest concern.

When starting off dating someone, love is something that grows, it's hard to love anyone when you don't fully know that person yet. When dating that's the point is to get to know the other person. For me lust comes before love at the start. If I like a guy and I'm interested in him then I'm going to want to have sex with him. Liking someone and being interested in that person isn't the same as love, love is something that you build.
