Start with that. Bring it up early so if either one of you get overwhelmed, you can feel comfortable calling it without it being uncomfortable. Extroverts and even ambiverts can be very thrown off by an introvert’s apparently sudden need to decompress. Then there are things that introverts likely have in common because of our need for personal, quiet time; reading, streaming shows and movies, hiking, meditation, quiet reflection, journaling. You’ll likely have one or more of those things in common. Dating is a complicated concern for introverts. Good luck!

I’d maybe think about a few things you know she has an interest in. Bonus if you also share a similar interest that you can discuss. Maybe just think of a few topics in your head and how you may be able to expand on them if she opens up.

The fact is you are both introverted but someone is going to have to start a conversation. Don’t bank on it being her and come prepared. Don’t force a conversation if she isn’t responding and move onto something else. This is where it helps to have a few topics.

You can even think of some things about yourself that makes you interesting. Maybe your hobbies or job or something about your family. You never know if she might share some similar interest or find a story about yourself interesting.

Point is that it won’t be easy but one of you will have to start and try to hold a conversation. That’s the only way you are going to get to know her and she will get to know you. Good luck!

Is the date set? You say “Hi, thanks for coming. How are you / how have you been?” There must be something about at interested you besides the hope of having sex with her. Ask about it.
