I've been dating a guy for 3 months, he always invites me round for dinner and we're always hanging out. He keeps flickering between wanting to see me/spend time with me, too not wanting too see me or spend time with me, on the basis that he doesn't want to get 'attached', 'build a connection' and make the 'wrong decisions' for it not to work out.
He's older than me, and wants to find someone to build a life with.
It's frustrating me that he calls me and invites me round and then an hour later, just before I set off, he asks me if it's a good idea that we see each other.
I've been back and forth trying to understand and reason with his logic. He seems to say one thing an contradict himself moments later. He also back tracks on things he said, such as claiming he never made plans to see me the very same night he invited me over.
I feel gas lighted when he does that, an when I get frustrated he says I'm 'angry' but he can't seem to realise how he provokes that time of response when he trying to call me a liar.
I dont know how to deal with someone who is this wishy washy. It's a shame that I like him otherwise I'd be gone a lot earlier
