Should I let women know, that I can't provide?

I can't provide because I am not making big money because of reasons.
So I let them know it in advance so they can decide whether to keep talking to me or to move on to find some well off guy making big money, that they can leech off from and we won't waste each other's time. And get called a cheapskate of course.
Or is there some better way to get this through?
