Is 28 too old to start settling down?

I have never compared myself to other people until recently, but i have been regreting my choice to live a nomad type life. Living IT life with 6 week contracts offered by my recruiting firm has given me a chance to work remotely since college and move often. The issue is I see young couples happy, and I know i could have had that. Now i feel emotionally stunted and lonely knowing the route I took will never let me have that. Assuming I leave the field now and settledown now I am still looking 7 years (35) until I catch up.

It's never too late for anything to get a new start in life. It's only too late, when you're dead.
People can find someone or get married at any age and besides 28 is still young. If the average human lifespan is about 75 years old, 28 is less than half of that age, if it makes sense

What’s stopping you now? Unless I’m missing something, working remotely doesn’t mean you HAVE to move around all the time. Or just find an IT job where you want to live
