My girlfriend followed him and he messaged her then they exchanged phone numbers. I have already talked to my girlfriend about this and she tells me that there isn’t anything wrong with her making friends while with me. I feel controlling now and think I might just be over reacting now? Do you see any red flags or am I just being controlling? Here is the screenshot he sent me. He sent it to me because he wanted to know more questions about our relationship

The thing is, this whole thing where people say that if you aren’t willing to let your girlfriend do this kind of thing you’re controlling, is a manipulative tactic in itself. It’s something manipulative women use to stop guys like you from having any boundaries at all.

You’re not being controlling, you’re just not being taken for a mug. She’s swapping phone numbers with this guy whose intentions are obvious, and telling him that you’ve “only been dating for a couple months”. She put it that way to signal to him that she’s not serious about you, she agreed with him when he said it, and she’s meeting the guy one on one. The whole “we’re talking as friends so it’s ok” thing is just her pretending that she didn’t mean anything to happen, but all three of you know that’s bullshit.

You also shouldn’t trust her if she’s acting suspicious. You don’t have to wait until you catch your girl with another guy’s dick in her mouth to stop trusting her. You should trust a girl as long as she doesn’t act suspiciously. This is obviously very suspicious.

If the boot was on the other foot, every woman who accuses you of being insecure, controlling etc. including her, would have a problem with you acting this way with another woman. Guaranteed.

If I caught my girlfriend doing this I’d leave then and there. I wouldn’t even try to explain my reasoning, try to reason with her, try to convince her not to meet the other dude, try to talk about my feelings, give her an ultimatum etc. There’s no point. She wants to meet this guy, she doesn’t respect you, she’s not loyal to you. Goodbye, onto the next.
