What does having the flue have to do with not responding to texts? To me it sounds like code for I went on a date with another guy and it didn't work so you're the next best option

I always make sure to let my significant other know what is going on if for some reason I won’t be able to respond as frequently.


She may have actually been sick with the flu, but the flu typically lasts 5 days. COVID can last up to 2 weeks though and it can be a rough ride. The fatigue with COVID at times is no joke and I know some people who did not function at all when they had it.


However, it doesn’t take that much energy to take 5 second to text someone just to let you know she was sick and will reach out when better.

I had a flu and was so weak, I could not walk to the living room to drink water. If I did not have family coming to my room and bringing food and water when I could not walk properly, I might have died from dehydration or hunger.
