If She cancels on you saying she is sick, does that mean it's over?

I have been going out with this girl for over two months. This Saturday was supposed to be our seventh date. Out of nowhere, she texted me her friend was sick and asked her to take care of her. So we planned to go out Sunday. Then Sunday comes and she said that she got sick too so we'll go out next week. This is the first time she canceled on me. I was all prepared to make my move and kiss her and everything. Now I am worried that it is over. Is this a classic excuse used to get out of a date that you are no longer interested in?

She COULD be blowing you off but she could very well be telling the truth, it's hard to tell. The only way to know is to ask yourself questions about her. You've gone on seven dates so she isn't a stranger but you still don't know her that well so this might be hard...

What time of relationship does she have with her friends? Some girls you know right off the bat treat their friends like sisters and brothers and would give them a kidney. Some girls are just like eh w/e. Figuring this out would better help you understand whether or not she is the type to cancel plans to take care of a friend.

Now if you answer "Yes, that would so be her," then I wouldn't worry. There is a lot of germs going around this type of year and if she did indeed take care of her friend than it's completely likely that she got sick doing it.

No way to know if its over just yet. But, its not good at all! Her excuse was very lame. Her friend would survive for a couple of hours while she was with you. She broke a planned date! If it were me,it would be over. But, since you've got 2 months in with her, then you could give her one last chance if you think you should. I would not have ANY communication with her. That means no texting, or calling. Don't talk to her unless she contacts you asking to set up another date. If she texts you anything else...ignore it. Wait and call her next Sunday, and ask her out for the following Thursday (give plenty of notice). If she rejects the date...makes excuses, or does not make a specific counter offer...then its OVER.

These girls are called flakes and should be avoided at all costs. They just enjoy seeing you run in circles and they know it.

You can say that. You mostly text her that's why the attraction is waning. Always have fun personal talks with her, and not just during dates.

It is not necessarily over. She could be truly sick. You're thinking too deep about it. See what happens, relax, and don't assume the worst.
