At what point did you stop caring about women and call it quits?

I broke up with a girl I was in a 4 year LDR with. Then during the year after that I had a string of bad relationships. Some of them that went sour were my fault but I had three of them that lasted a few months and they were all really toxic. At the end of it all I finally got sick of it. i had a girl that cheated, one that abused me, and another that dumped me in the most cruel way imaginable. I dated somebody who was just a jerk for a few weeks and then that is when I finally gave up on dating and girls. I fully intended to never have anything to do with girls for a long time, maybe forever.

Ironically I met my future wife the very next day.

I wouldn't say I've ever quit. But after about 25 I just stopped trying. Now to me it just makes up such a small part of my life. I haven't QUIT, I just no longer have any expectations. I don't expect women to be interested. And even if they are I'm ready for them to flake eventually.

Decades ago but I don't remember the exact length of time. Best thing I ever did but they pursue me.
