Substantially. I have an old fashioned desire to keep all my own money as opposed to being forced to give it to some woman.
Putting at least half of what I have on red or black in a single roll of the roulette wheel would be insane. The whole world would think me a fool - rightly.
Since 50% of those happy brides unilaterally divorce at 8 years, I can't see a significant difference between marriage and the single roll of the roulette wheel.
Now my gov't has decided to common law marry me off at two years, I now have to dump at the one year anniversary dinner to be safe.

Nope. I just call the shots in my life. If she can't handle that, and from what I've seen that's usually the case. Then I'd rather be single.
So it's not me giving up. It's just me choosing to love me rather than be emotionally bullied and abused by someone who clearly loves themselves exponentially more than me.
