Does it matter if the guy doesn't actually ask you out?

I've been in a few situations where the guy never actually asked me out. Instead he kind of just assumed we were dating and started calling me his girlfriend (which of course I was comfortable with). Could it mean a guy is any less interested than the counterpart if he doesn't actually ask a girl out?

No, I do not think the formalities do not have to be in place as long as you are good with it. I do have concern as it relates to Macro. How many other procedural things will he not do in other important life areas?

It doesn't necessarily mean he's less interested, but it does mean he probably won't communicate everything that he needs to. Among other negative things. Relationships just don't work out with guys like that.
