If your date lives about an hour away from you, would you continue dating them? Or is that too far for you?

I met a really interesting guy through my work, but he works and lives an hour or more away from me, it's about 60 km difference.

I have little experience with dating and everyone I dated always lived quite close to me, either same town or in the area.

I can't imagine that we would be able to see each other everyday or even every other day.

Should I give it a chance or not?

In December, 2020, I started dating a woman who lives 130 km distant from my home. I went to visit her almost every weekend but she came to my hometown a few times when there were events here we wanted to attend. Eventually, she invited me to spend weekends in her home and I extended the same invitation to her. In July, 2021, she resigned her job and moved to my hometown and into my home. We are still together.

60 km is nothing. In my hometown, if I live in one corner of the city and she lives in an opposite corner, we could be 60 km apart and both be within the city limits.

Yes and I have. For a couple of years. It ultimately ended. Not for this reason alone, but it was one of them. She didn't drive though, so it was all on me to go see her, which in my situation at the time (with work etc), became hard. Especially as the relationship progressed (because you'll naturally want to see each other more and more often if it goes well). But if you both drive, that'll make it a lot easier and it becomes less of an issue.

An hour drive is definitely worth it for the right person! I recently met a guy that lives an hour away and our bond matters more than the distance. Don’t trade out good bonds just because it takes a little effort. If he is the right guy, he will also pitch in effort to make things work

If your looking to marry in 2-4 years, then it’s okay to marry a guy that far away but if you want to get engaged in under 8 months, you should pick somebody your able to see more often. It depends on how long your willing to wait.

An hour is literally nothing. People who complain about an hour drive just either 1, sucks a driving, or 2, just impatient. And I'm not in favor of dating either. One messes with my safety, while the other doesn't appreciate the essence of time.

To answer, absolutely not. If someone wants it to work, they'll do the drive... TRUST ME.
But if its 4 hours away towards Penn State in the mountains for a bad lay, you got me f'd up.
