Girls, I'm inexperienced with relationships, is this normal with men?

I'm 24 and only had one boyfriend before when I was 16, only lasted six months. We only kissed and did a bit of light touching, nothing too heavy. I kinda sorta have a thing going with this guy I work with. He's 28, he's tall, strong and good looking and we have good conversations. We went on about four dates so far. The last time I saw him was an outing with coworkers to a cabin for a weekend. He drove and i sat in the front seat with him. I wore shorts and i caught him taking a glimpse at my legs. We were at the house and he chopped wood to make a fire. Then he chopped more wood for the next day. He caught me looking at him and when he was finished he started walking towards me. He said he wanted to see me behind the house and we went, and he started kissing me and then he lifted my shirt and started kissing my belly intensely and I totally didn't expect that. I excused myself to go to the bathroom and I think he got the hint, he slowed down a bit. I'm not used to that level of intensity, what should I allow him do at first?

Whatever you're comfortable with. Maybe tell him that this is the first time you've done anything like this so you'd like to slow down a bit. 4 dates makes it seem pretty stable for you two, I'm sure he'd slow down a bit if you say you're uncomfortable
