Why do men never forget a woman who rejected them?

I've only been rejected once. Not because I'm just that awesome, but because I don't try with many girls.
I'll never forget her because she all but begged me to get with her and turned me down anyway.
She was a girl at work who always used to flirt with me, ask me about my interests, that kinda stuff.
One night she came up behind me and slowly dragged her hand across my back then looked back at me and smiled.
I asked her for number and she kinda laughed and played with her hair and gave it to me.
When I texted her on our next day off, all I said was "If you're not up to anything today we should hang out", to which she replied "no thanks" and blocked my number.
I asked her the next time I saw her if we were cool and she said, "I don't hang out with guys who just want to fuck me"
Then she quit a couple weeks later.
An experience like that is hard to forget!

Probably the same reason I'll never forget being the victim in a hit & run or the time I nearly drowned in the river when I was about 7 or 8, or the 3 times I had pneumonia. You learn from tragedy and mistakes. The only way to learn is to remember it happening to you. Those who forget hiistory are doomed to repeat it..

Because rejection is hurtful and affects you in a negative way. It can lower your self-esteem. And people tend to hold onto the negative experiences in life over the positive.

We certainly do, it's a so common thing. And they are nobody it's just move on. There is not a chance that men remember every girl they made a move on and got rejected by. Some guys don't even remember those that they have fooled around with. So this must be a very passive guy, that extremely rarely makes moves for it to be true.

I think it is evolutionary. We learn and adapt to the environment in order to survive and advance our species. I could ask the question differently and it still has the same underlying cause. Why do men never forget a potential employer who declined to make a job offer after their interview? Is the applicant angry? No. Do they use the memory and knowledge gained to win at the next interview? Absolutely.

I barely remember any of them, partly because there were so many, but also because they don’t matter once you eventually find a girl who likes you. It’s a numbers game.

Opposite. Men always forget a woman who rejects them. The second a girl rejects me i forget her basically instantly because i just hit on the next cute girl i come into contact with. Im not going to chase some girl around who doesn't think im worth a damn.

Yes I do because I'm the only guy who asked hundreds of girls and got rejected. sometimes I forget what they look like. Plus I don't care about asking there names or who they are because either way I'm going to get rejected
