My ex said it’s not a good idea to date an older man. Is my ex jealous or telling me the truth? He said if it doesn’t feel right wait for someone my age.
There is a problem staying in contact with an ex. The only reason they want to stay in contact is to either keep you around as a back up plan if they can't find someone, or they want you available for sex/hook ups. They have a self interest/motivation to make sure your relationships with others don't succeed.
Never listen to an ex regardless for relationship advice. They only have self serving interests. Staying in contact with an ex is just asking for drama and problems in all future relationships.
He’s jealous to be fair you’re at the cut up point of what I think is acceptable of course if I dated 10 years younger I would be dating an 18-year-old legal but way too immature given and 28. My brother is dating a girl 15 years younger but he is 49 when my friend is dating a girl at 13 years younger and he’s 40. Again if I went to the same equivalent would be 13 or 14-year-old (birthday is on August 10) or a 17 year old. Another words it’s not time for me yet to start dating significantly younger women

He's your ex for a reason, isn't he? 10 years is not an unreasonable difference in age. Your ex is being a jealous little bitch. I think you might tell him "Well, I really don't CARE what you think about who I date. Did I ask for your opinion?"
If you're happy, why would you listen to someone who doesn't?
Why do you care what your ex thinks? Why are you still in contact? Do you have a child together? Even if you do, your personal life is not open for discussion. Just say “I’m not discussing that with you.”
