Is it about location where online dating can become successful?

Since I live in a small town, in the middle of nowhere. I’m still waiting it out and checking my online profile for likes and messages. Like a routine and so far, nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️. Yeah, I got 35 likes from guys (who I messaged first) and still no reply. I even wrote 6 different paragraphs and topics about myself. Posted 6 selfies (with and without makeup) and different location outdoor settings.

So why am I not having any luck? Is it the location or me?

Internet dating is trash, don't even bother. The ones you are lucky enough to meet up with will soon prove that you weren't so lucky after all.
But don't listen to me, do your thing. Everyone who tries it has to find out the hard way. Except for the FEW that do find their soul mates, but there's exceptions to every rule (I wouldn't count on being the exception)

i would say there's definitely some regions where there's lots of people using dating sites and regions where people don't use them. i moved to a mid sized city 2 years ago and i lived in a village in the countryside before. in the city there's way less people. so i think there's other factors at play. maybe cultural stuff.

Usually best for people in urban/suburban areas with population.
Your options are limited if you're in the middle of nowhere.
In smaller communities, chances are pretty good that you would already know them.

Location is definitely an important factor, but it's not the only one. OLD is better in metropolitan areas.

Yeah probably, have no luck here but when I go away and travel south I get so many likes on my profile on certain apps

Dating pool, if yoy live in a peripheral area, with less people, statistically you will find less people in the app.

P. S, maybe 6 paragraphs about yourself on the start is too much.

It's a mess out there, online. More than likely you're going to have to sift through a TON of people to start finding the decent ones
