Has anyone else had a romantic dream but wake up and get mad that it was over and try to go back to sleep but can’t?

Maybe not so for romantic dreams but I can relate otherwise. I have had plenty of dreams that had me on a real high and then came crashing down when I woke up.

To be fair, I have also had it on the complete other end of the spectrum. I was having a terrible dream and thought I was really in hot water but then woke up. Those take much longer to gather yourself and fully comprehend they were not real for me.

But they weren't so much "romantic", they were a bit more sweaty.
On very few occasions I have gone back to sleep and it continued. Like less than 5 times in my life.
Here's a technique. I drink a lot of water just before bed. I'll have dreams about work or highschool or fixing a go-cart with my ex landlord (Rio, Mitch Hedburg) and then I'll have to get up to pee around 3 am. This is what I figured out for my body. Any time I go to sleep again after 3 am I almost ALWAYS have sexual dreams.
Let's just say I stay very well hydrated.😉
