Should I quit trying to improvise and just go with the flow and also stop being so punctual?

I usually try my best to make things work out if they don't go to plan, but it just seems like nobody cares about being on time anymore, nobody cares if something is rescheduled for the 3rd time etc. It's just the world we live in now. I was raised that if you were supposed to show up at 10am you should be their at 10am or more like 9:57. I had a date today that she rescheduled from yesterday to today because she got stuck at a meeting after work, now today she tells me her phone fell in the toilet this morning so I didn't hear from her until like an hour before we were supposed to meet tonight, so of course by that point I figured I got stood up, so went ahead and carried on my day at work like usual, but told her I'd let her know when I got home so we can still try and meet. I find out she's still at work again and well this whole thing was a waste of time. I'm glad I stayed at work and got shit done. Did I find another narcissist. Personally if that happened i'd at least be more apologetic and still try to go on the date. I was trying to still make the date happen it was just going to be a couple hours later. People only care about themselves now.

How annoying would it be if you settled with a girl who made it a habit of being late when you’re never late? Peoples’ time is precious; balancing out work and play.. and if she can’t realize that, she’s being selfish. It’s not like this happened one time.

Yep that's twice that she did that two days in a row. The first time it was a meeting, the second time her phone dropped out of her back pocket and dropped in the toilet, but then she still had to stay at work again for some reason. Okay let's go a couple hours later no biggie. She doesn't give a shit about me plain and simple. Both my parents died a long time ago and I feel I'm one of the very few people who understand that their is always plenty more work to be done tomorrow its not going away. You have to live your life too.

Yeah I have a friend who scolded me once because I wanted to cancel our plans and she got so mad at me and told me how disrespectful that was and she kinda made a good point.. I didn’t even realize it, but it’s engraved in me now.. I’m never late for anything and if I make plans with someone, I stick with them.

Well that's twice now. I think she's just one of those career girls. Stays at the offie all the time etc. It's why they're online in the first place. I'm cool with it but i'm gonna leave it up to her to arrange a third date. I honestly don't have anymore time to set aside this week. It will have to wait until next week.

It would have all been on her and she's just not as good as she thinks she is.
