Why do some choose to keep dating someone they know is bad for them?

First off they feel forced into it for whatever reason rather it be threats of suicide or threats of being harmedThere’s a few reasons people do it


First off They feel forced into the relationship because the person has some thing against them whether it be threats of suicide or threats of hurting you were a family member if you leave this is a pretty common one And I hate people who do this.


The second one is a fear of being alone. Some people will do just about anything to not be lonely even if they have to deal with some of the worst people on the planet they view it as better than being lonely it’s a sad truth.


The third is sometimes people are just attracted toThe third is sometimes people are just attracted to those who Don’t have their best interest in mind


The fourth is external pressure whether it be family friends or just society telling you to be with someone this one here I’m pretty sure is rather rare but it does happen like I think there’s a country where women are forced to marry their rapist or some thing like that I don’t know but stuff like that unfortunately does happen and people don’t always have a choice in the matter of course it’s not just women men have had this happen to them too luckily it’s fairly rare of course I could be wrong in this could be like the most common thing in the world but I doubt it


The fifth is doing it out of sympathy. Yeah every once in a while somebody will stay in a toxic relationship with somebody out of sympathy generally when that’s the case These people also have their screw loose and it’s not just the abuser who is insane.




Anyway there’s a few reasons I’m sure there are plenty more but that’ll at least to get you a decent understanding of the situation

Keep in mind I’m not saying that all of these are the reason all the time what I am saying is is that almost all the time it’s one of these five reasons not all the five reasons at the same time but it’s at least one of the five most of the time

Even worse yet, why do they marry someone who they know is bad for them? I knew a lady in college like that. Long story but she had a boyfriend who really crossed the line on more than one occasion. She dumped him for cheating, he was going to propose to the lady who he cheated with, and she got another boyfriend before he could propose, he crawled back to her and begged for forgiveness, and then they got married about ten months later. They got divorced after two kids and about seven years of marriage. She was in therapy for years as to why she went for that guy. She is married to a great guy now though!

The energy can be intoxicating if. I don’t mean sex itself there’s a lot of energy being transferred between people and maybe the vibration is intense 🤷🏻‍♀️ That might be worth it to some even if the person is “ bad” for then. I don’t think it matters unused it’s abusive. We all prefer different things s& maybe what looks terrible to me, someone else gets something out of 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes people don't want to see someone isn't good for them. When my grandpa was alive he'd listen to a song that had a line in it about wearing "Rose Colored Glasses." They only saw the beauty and hid all the negative truth.

Sometimes it's due to hope that the person might change. More often it doesn't happen. It can also be due to an emotional bond with the memories they had with that person. Then they fail to understand that it's the memories that they are attached to and not the person.

It's because of their upbringing. Most people are so used to trauma that it becomes normal. So much if they date a nice guy/ girl, they become scared and run away. Smh, humans, are dumb. That's why the bad boy/ bad girl thing is truly toxic and annoying. People who like bad people are insecure about themselves.
