I would guess most people pair up at similar ages because you have a similar outlook on life for the age you're at.

There is a theory that self made, higher end, single males, perhaps in their thirties, have their pick of the dating market and may well choose a relatively younger, fertile woman in her prime. She in return gets the finished article - resource and maturity while being young enough to be playful. But I suspect for most people this does not apply.

But it's all relative. I am in my 50s. If I were dating, I would accept some one younger - perhaps 40 - but not young perhaps 25.

But everyone is different.

I think most men like younger women. There is that stigma about youth and beauty haha but of course that isn't all guys. Everyone has their preferences. And the individual matters a lot.

Younger girls but not always just for looks. Yes it’s true that (legally) young women are usually hot and attractive. However they are usually more fun and open minded IF they catch feelings for you.

Oddly some of the worst dating experiences I’ve had in my entire life were with grown ass women close to my age. Some of them think acting bitchy makes them feel younger and more attractive or something. Not all middle aged women of course but too many of them.
