Is it wrong to like one of your coworkers if your a supervisor but you two are the same age?

I'm a manager. The HR director that oversees our area tells us as long as they are not in our reporting span, we can go nuts. If I want to date someone in my span we'd have to let him know, and he can work out a revised reporting structure. Basically anyone in my span I have some control over their review and raises, so if they report to someone else's span, they would be be walled off. Totally fair.

This kind of stance has always resonated with me because the company actually likes having socials, and encourages inter-dating is a way to keep people happy, attached, and less likely to leave. It's not like 'The Internship' movie where the right answer is we say no to love.

Depends where you work and how your job handles company relationships, unless you intend to keep it on the DL.. even then others will definitely notice lol I work at a grocery store, big chain that runs across the US, and everyone is like dating each other, even my boyfriend works in the same store 😂😂 we have two managers dating each other, another two managers dating each other, I’m a shelf stocker dating the deli department head, my friend works in the deli and dates a girl in bakery, and a Russian boy “proposed” to one of the cashiers a while ago.. not too sure how that’s working out as they are both like 17 and I saw her with another guy the other day but that’s not the point.. so I guess rlly it depends the company you work for😂😂

Age has nothing to do with it. You can like them. You can’t date them or treat them any differently than others on your team.
