i (14M) and new to this website, and i was wondering how i could get back together with my ex (14F) . since we broke up 8 months ago, i’ve fallen into depression and feel heartbroken. we go to school together and as the new year is starting i decided why not start afresh together. thanks

If she does not wish to get back together, no amount of trying would help you win her back.

Breakups are normal and it’s okay to mourn the end of a relationship, but falling into depression at your age is not good. You have to focus on your studies, get good grades to get into a good college. If this relationship was so very unhealthy that it lead you to fall into depression, is it really worth it?

Getting back together with an ex is rarely a good idea. The relationship ended for whatever reason it did. It’s best not to get entangled with someone romantically at a young age. I may sound annoying now, but I was your age only 3 years ago and I’ve matured a lot. Wait until at least you’re 15. Girls and boys your age are immature and are not capable of managing healthy romantic relationships. A year can make a huge difference.

She does not need to hear about your depression and woes. She needs an apology and an obvious attempt to fix what got screwed up. It does not matter whose fault it is BECAUSE there's always 50/50% blame happening. Man-Up humbly with admittance of guilt BUT move forward confidently AFTER she has some time to process apology and sincerity therein.
Hold tight and she will get back to you if interested after apology. Stay clean on Social Media because she's watching...

yes that makes sense, although we broke up on good terms and im not petty or spiteful, the only thing i think i should consider apologising for is ignoring her snap she sent me a couple weeks ago (also FYI i dont blame her for anything thats happened in the 8 months since)

If you standardized your apology then don't do it as that does more harm than good. She knows what you should be apologizing for... not you. Handle it humbly then she will likely convey those to you in "Why did you"
