So me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 2 years and have lived with each other for a little over a year. With that in mind we have been talking about getting engaged and I found the ring I want and we both loved it, and he told me he knew the exact date he wanted to propose to me and so I always thought he was talking about this upcoming December sometime because it's my favorite time of the year but lately I'm not sure if he is even doing it this year... and I'm over thinking this?

Sis, chill... you are overthinking. Just let it happen when it does and try to apply a month to the timing, that'll just be very selfish and not helpful unless the both of you are on the same page. However, an engagement doesn't happen on your call, it's his decision.

You are seriously going to ruin your own engagement if you don't stop thinking about when and how it will happen. Who cares when he is going to propose, you are both still young and 2 years isn't a long time to be together.
