How should a girl put in efforts in a new relationship?

this is the first time I am dating a guy and I have no idea of how to be a good girlfriend. I feel like he is putting in all his efforts but I am not. How do I show that I really like him and be romantic? we see each other once a week though and it's been 3 months since we started dating

He should understand you're not use to it. It sounds like form of bullying. Some people do that too people who lack social skills or who they see as naive. They buy you gifts, invite you over, be kind to you, but it's only because they want to use you for something.

Like a girl at work bought me a gift and when her promotion came up she would cry about how I never got her anything and that I should help her get the promotion.
