What makes a girl seem overeager or desperate at the beginning of a new relationship?

Is it texting? Like if she texts you because she saw something interesting, is that bad?

Is it the talking?

Is it the visiting you or trying to be around all the time?

Is it the calling?

And really, do girls need to wait to have regular contact until the guy is initiating more of the convos?

The first big one is that she's a serial dater or a serial attention seeker. She'll give it her all to one guy until he ignores her, says something she doesn't like, or rejects her, and then in the next breath she's onto the next guy doing the same thing, then the next one, then the next one, etc. She's persistently at it.

The next one is that she's a people pleaser. She has no backbone and will roll no matter what you ask her. She can't make her own decisions, she has to go through you. She calls you to ask what she should do, because you have to be OK with it because she wouldn't want to do anything that is against your wishes because that might lead to her losing you in her little mind... She makes all her plans around you and doesn't have her own life or obligations.

If the conversation is interesting I can text on and off throughout an entire day without it bothering me. I con't always want to be talking on the phone, but don't mind talking for hours on end in person. It's more so what the conversation is about. If it's interesting and engaging its good stuff. If it's insecure what do you think I should do, am I OK, what do you like, blah blah balh I'll do anything to please you then its like uhhh leave me alone.

Just take things slow - slower than you would like them to be - and you won't look desperate.

That means, always wonder if it's not too soon since your last message. You don't want to bomb the guy with messages and appear clingy; you don't want to sound uninterested by taking too much time between two messages. And check his answers. A long one means he wants to talk, a short one, that he's busy.
