No one NEEDS anyone in their lives if they're physically and mentally able to take care of themselves. The issue is we WANT people in our lives to share them with us-- the joys and sorrows: the easy times and the difficult ones.

I don't think anyone wants to raise children alone. It's not only terribly stressful, but it's exhausting. Two people with different personalities play off of each other as parents and ease this burden.

This works just as well for gay or trans people in couples. We WANT significant others because it adds to our lives.

Need and want are different things. Do I NEED a man… no. Would I like a man for the love, support and physical intimacy? Of course. But if a woman’s priority is to have a family, nowadays woman have other options to grow a family without a man present. In regards to sexual pleasure, there are also other things that can do that for a woman without a man. Lolll so no I don’t NEED a man to survive but it would be nice to have someone to love and share a life with.

In my opinion, when someone says "I don't need a man/woman," I think they're trying to hide behind a facade in order to prove something.

I don't know about you, but if I ever found out that my WIFE said to me that she never needed me; that I was just someone she wanted that day and could leave me on a dime at any moment... I wouldn't feel too good.

We do need each other.
But we're too stuck in our pride to admit it... and sooner or later, time will catch up to us.

I wouldn´t say I need a woman for something because if I look at my life and chances as a single guy I´m also content with life at the moment.

Women just fascinate me because they often have a different view and a different perspective so I like them being around.

I never understand people who think they don't need the opposite sex. Do we not all have mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends of the opposite sex?

Can I live alone? Absolutely. I can cook my own food, and clean my own house, and work a job to make a living like everyone else. Having a partner doesn't change my responsibilities, unless of course they want a traditional relationship and I'm ABLE to provide financially while they do the housework.

I personally want a family and I respect women. However, women in the west tend to have a very entitled and narcissistic mentality that I'd like to avoid.

Realistically, you don't need the opposite sex in your life. You can live most of your life without the sex just fine unlike food, water, and shelter. However, humans want the opposite sex in their life cause we as humans crave human interaction and love.

Relationships aren't my priority. And I doubt it'll ever be. I don't think marriage and kids are in the cards either.

Still, if I date a person — I'd love them passionately. I'd do everything in my power to make them feel well cherished.

Currently, no.. but I do worry about dying alone and without purpose. Unless you do something notable or have kids to carry on your legacy, did your existence even matter? I mean, your ancestors survived for millennia through the worst times of humanity only for your bloodline to die off during the most decadent time in human history.
As much as neither gender likes to admit it. We really do need each other or we’re going to die off.

No , not at all , I have been a single dad for 8 years. Like my own company too much & most women seem negative towards men to at least some degree. I have been treated like crap by women many times solely because I am male , mainly by mothers , whilst taking my , thankfully now independent teen , kids out to places , assuming ALL men are pedos and sex predators.
