How to ask out a girl?

I have been talking to this one girl for a while and we are pretty close and i think the time has come for me to ask her to be my girlfriend. But i dont want to like do it at school, i want to make it special but dont really know how seeing as this is the first serious relationship i have been in

There is no right or wrong time to try to ask a girl out. However, asking too soon may be counterproductive because you know little of that person. Asking too late and she may have found someone that is not as shy or uncertain.

It all depends on how long you know that person. If you just met her a week ago and have a crush on her, it is probably way too early because you only know what she wants you to see in her but you don't know her negative sides. Those must also be considered in a relation.

My opinion is that you should know that target person for at least 6 months before taking the step to ask her to be your girlfriend. Six months are sufficient to know the most basic facts about a person. Good luck.

Thanks a lot. I have known her about 9 months now and we have been talking seriously for about 4 months now. But i have definitely taken all those things into consideration and her flaws are what makes her special and i am truly in love

You have to be careful that the flaws that make her special don't become the cause of a conflict when you have your first fight. That would be totally unfair to her because you are aware of them and you still want to pursue the endeavor.

But if this is what you wish, then you ask her out only if you meet her in person and not through social media or texting/video call.

Just tell her the way you feel. Don't behave differently as you would normally. Look into her eyes when you speak to her and simply tell her that she means a lot to you and that you could see yourself and her being together.

However, don't be surprised if she does not reciprocate. You have to take this option into account.
