This isn't exactly the same, but my ex bestfriend has a sister and her boyfriend got the exact same first name as her, "River".
They don't seem to make a big deal out of it, like at all.

Yeah, I guess so. My ex-wife had the same name as my mom (not surprising since it's a common name where they both are from)
