Is it weird to date someone with the same name as your dad?

So me and this guy met up and he’s honestly the man of my dreams. He’s everything of what I’m basically looking for in a man. I know for a fact that me and him are most likely going to end up dating but one of the reasons why I avoided him originally is because he has the same name and profession as my dad lol it’s a little odd for me but I feel something so different about him and just the way he carry’s himself. Thoughts?

No, not really. You could always come up with a nickname. As someone else mentioned, it’s only weird if you make it weird. I read your replies, and you’ve mentioned his name is Michael? Call him Mike, or Micky if it really bothers you.

I feel likes it's one of those things that's only weird if you make it weird.

This isn't exactly the same, but my ex bestfriend has a sister and her boyfriend got the exact same first name as her, "River".

They don't seem to make a big deal out of it, like at all.
