Not if you never put yourself out there but don't settle. Make sure you know what you want. Ask yourself, write it down, and don't necessarily go hunting for it behind every pair of eyes but keep your eyes and heart open. Personality, chemistry, honesty, and similar wants and goals in life are what you should be looking for. Most guys who approach hyperattractive females are wanting one thing but not all of them. a lot of strong, capable men have trouble talking to attractive women. Women made men selfaware not the other way around. Don't be afraid to initiate conversation but don't be too forward. It's tricky cause most guys can be amazingly clueless when it comes to picking up on and correctly interpreting signals from women. For many of us it's one of the only things we aren't adept at. Until kids come into the picture women are the highest risk factor towards our state of vulnerability. You think your scared with a lot on the line. That's true. I respect that, but he has his perceived position on the ladder of the social hierarchy aka street rep to protect on top of everything else same as you at stake. To be rejected to most guys is humiliating. Your saying in his mind "your not worthy of passing your genes on to my future children." Essentially your not worthy of life if your not fit to pass your genes on and have children is how the male subconscious mind interprets that. He may not be aware of that, most aren't. But on a primal level that's what he takes rejection to be indicative of. Don't leave him shattered if the chemistry is wrong unless he's cocky or crude. Then fire away. If you find his raw smell attractive your a match to mate genetically on a biological level. If he smells bad to you your too genetically similar like your related and its a natural defense to help us avoid incestuous relations and genetically abhorrent offspring born with biological defects. The old axiom "If it smells bad, it is. Don't eat it." is true for food, cunnilingus, and maneaters/ruby lipped vampiresses/succubi, or a good woman searching for a good man. So many applications means there's a great amount of wisdom in so few words. Knowledge is only beneficial if you possess the wisdom to know how to utilize the knowledge in a manner beneficial to all. Be wise, not scared.

You said you are afraid. I am too when it comes to dating. (Long story) I want a long term relationship but reality is nothing in the world last forever. So, here is my mental process. I am happy alone but I feel something is missing. A life partner. Some days I'm sad about it. So if I stay single I will be unhappy for the rest of my life. Buuuut if I get in a relationship that last more than 2 years I will have more years happy than sad. Why 2 years? Because it takes about a year to get over someone lol does that make sense? Interesting. I think the guys actually rejecting me aren’t actually good enough for me to begin with. We always think the people not interested in us romantically must be so much better, but maybe it’s the reverse and we need to know our worth and see the amazing people in front of us who see our worth.

by the way a lot of the men I’ve dated who rejected me as in wanting an official committed relationship were in their late late 30s and early 40s. And I’m significantly younger. So it’s possible they might not be like marriage focused.

Sometimes I wonder if women assume that men in their 30's and early 40's have less options so assume they are more likely to settle down. But if they look after themselves this is not often the case. Where the guys you dated like that?

Yeah I think objectively they weren’t like incredible guys that tons of women are throwing themselves at. They have good jobs, make as much money and more than me, they’re catches, but I don't know not that nice to me or others so who cares?
I’m not going to compare myself with other women but objectively I’m way up there physical attractiveness wise and probably youngest girl they were dating. I think they genuinely might just not be looking to settle down. We never got that deep into it.

I have no issues getting asked out, going on multiple dates, having guys compliment me off the hook and tell me how much they like me. I’m not feeling a genuine connection with them and it’s not my standards. They’re not meeting me emotionally and sometimes they push for more physically and I’m not there yet.
