How do you feel about people who advocate for cnstant consent?

I'm a physically affectionate person. I've had to learn to ask people if I can touch them when I'm coaching them in martial arts, or just generally still new to them as friends.

I had a good friend who let me hug him for years before finally he told me he didn't really like hugs, but he never knew how to really tell me. I apologized and we didn't hug any more. He felt much more comfortable around me and that made me happier than hugging him did.

It's easy to ask consent. It should be second nature. If your first thought when considering touching another person is "well, duh, they want me to touch them", you sound more like an unhinged creep than a normal person.

For me personally, no thank you lol. I think everybody understands where consent is needed. The people who violate this don't do so because they don't know, it's because they don't care.
