My girlfriend’s coworker buys her food and I feel uneasy about it?

I’m starting to feel weird about my girlfriend’s coworker. She’s been working at her job for a few months and all of a sudden this male coworker starts buying her lunch. He done it for a couple of days so far and my girlfriend tells me all ecstatically. I don’t know what to do about this without coming off as insecure.

Why does it bother you? Coworkers occasionally buy lunch for each other.

Hm, maybe try floating an ask if your girlfriend would like you to buy lunch for her (but, y'know, plan to follow through).

I don't know that you'll be able to completely avoid seeming insecure about this. That's the truth of it, so it's likely not going to be easily hidden. But hearing your side is kinda what a girlfriend should do, too.

Consider making boundaries with her - what's acceptable for her coworkers to buy for her? What's not okay? What can she do to reassure you, etc.

But don't go overboard. You also don't want to be controlling.
