Why a guy who rejected me in a few years ago, came back and asked about my life?

I've been honest, but what is wrong with him? why he bragging about his good career and study life at me?

Could be several possibilities:

A. He wanted something different THEN but now he thinks you're what he wants.

B. He had a girlfriend and they just broke up.

Not an affair.. someone to go to when his current relationship ends. Now if he's a SAINT, he just wants a platonic relationship. But most dudes aren't saints & even if they are they know their wife/girlfriend would never believe it so there's no reason to talk to exes you don't have kids with.
