Women love to use clichés like men are “intimidated by” you or you’re “scaring men away.” If he is doesn’t want to be paying for kids in college in his sixties, and you want children, you’ve just told him that you are a mismatch. Why would a rational, prudent decision not to continue a relationship with you be considered a sign of fear?

Go ahead and tell him you want marriage and children. Most people are engaged before they even discuss this and find out that they have totally different plans.
