Why are you staring and not saying anything?

My boyfriend does this really weird thing that makes me uncomfortable. Last night I got upset at my boyfriend for getting annoyed at me for being over the top happy. I just stopped taking my pills that day and I felt really good I was happy and being really playful and laughing a lot but he just finished a 12-hour shift so I get it i'm being a lot my bad I get it now but he does this thing where when I say a strong opinion about something he does that hurts me or i don't like he will literally stare at me so hard not saying anything for like 3 minutes and it makes me uncomfortable and he knows this ill literally turn away from him so i dont feel weird why does he always do that who does that?
