I know several men who are not short but have short wives. All their sons are short and below average height. All the short men I know have sons above average height. But if men hate having short sons so much, why do they continue to breed with short women? Just cause a guy isn't short that doesn't mean the son automatically won't be either.

In my extended family, many tallish men have married short women and they have shortish daughters and tallish sons. My dad was 6 ft, I am just under 6ft 2, my mother was 5ft 3. My female cousin's family are very similar - she has two sons of goodish height like their father and a shortish daughter.

At least in my family, height seems to cosegregate with gender.
