My boyfriend isn’t sure whether he wants to get married in the future?

Today I asked my boyfriend if he could see himself married in the future and he said probably not because of the 50/50 split. I mentioned other options besides the split and mentioned that marriage was something I wanted in the future. He said it was too early to be thinking about it, we’re 20. What do you guys think?

I think it's seasonable for you to have a future in mind especially if you would like children one day. There's no point in wasting your 20's with a guy who doesn't want the same things. It takes a long time being with someone to get to the point of marriage and starting a family, so every relationship is an investment for you.

I think that what you both want is legit. It sounds like you want to marry or at least talk/think about it. It sounds like he doesn't. Both of those feelings are valid. The two of you need to communicate and either compromise or decide that you value your view more than the relationship and that's okay too.

No upside for men to marry. It's only stupid men that do. Women initiate 80 percent of divorce, usually cheat on their husbands and end up with custody of the kids and alimony. Any man with sense should never marry.

If course a female wants marriage as it give you complete leverage. Your boyfriend is sensible in that he realizes marriage is a loaded gun to his head.

What do you mean other options? 50/50 is the best case scenario all the other outcomes are worse.
