How does an introvert girl ask out an introvert guy?

So, I like this guy from church. Long story simplified, both of us are introverts and but I'm pretty sure he likes me back. He compliments me a lot, sits and stands next to me a lot, he offers to help me with things. But then there's also that awkward introvert tension between us. Like he's scared to make a move, and so am I. But there's these moments that we just gaze into each other's eyes grinning like little children at the carnival... and I keep telling myself "today's gonna be the day" but then we hang out in a group setting, and I can never find the moment to get him alone. And when I do, I get nervous and end up not telling him. So my question is if you think i should make the first move? And if so, HOW? We are both on worship team, and he's offered to help me with my music... but we haven't made plans yet. I don't want to ask him over text. One. Because he hates texting, and two because i myself would like it to be personal. How does an introvert girl ask an introvert guy out? Man, it's an enigma. But Maybe y'all can help. Maybe a letter? His birthday is coming up in 9 days. I am painting him a picture. Maybe I could ask him then? I don't know...

There is no such thing as this topic. It's a way that society wants you to be. If you like someone say it. Don't let these words discourage you for doing what makes you happy. No need to put labels on things in life.

TLDR, but invite him to the movies. Creates opportunity without having to talk much.

I could have written this post myself, even down to the being members of the same worship team except the guy I liked turned me down once and I'm scared stiff to bring it up again in case it's a no. But I do feel like something has changed even if he won't say it directly.

I'm not sure exactly what to tell you. The first go round I did the following to make it obvious I liked him and you could try it:

-Go out of your way to complement him GENUINELY. I'm not necessarily talking about flirting.

-Go out of your way to talk to him.

-Invite him to do something casual with you.

I really hope it works out for both of you.
