How come girls dont want to video chat before an actual date?

I got so tired of spending money at a restaurant only to have her decide we weren't compatible after a 2hr date, so the next few girls I suggested we video chat before meeting thinking that would be more convenient too. They couldn't even do that. It's like they're in it for the free meals. I've heard of girls just going on dates with a guy for this purpose but I doubt it's that common.

I for one hate video chats I feel so awkward and in the end you still don't have a good feel for them. Nothing replaces meeting in person.

I don't do dinner dates for first dates, I do walks in the park or cup of coffee... something cheap and casual. With inflation these days it not worth spending that type of money on a dinner date with women I have never met in person.

I never had luck with that either until I offered up a full blown dinner date.

Yeah, I think you are on to the thing. For the women even if its a terrible first date at least they got a free meal out of it. For the guy they could care less about the meal. If they are not willing to go for a nice walk in the park or something casual then I am over it quick. Not my type of women.

I went on a date with a women, and she picked at a $50 dollar steak the that she recommend because it was the best steak in town... then at the end she asked for a take out plate and told me she was going to take it home for her son to eat.

Seriously, that happened... and it was the last dinner first date I ever did.

That's what happens to me. They'll continue to text for a week or two before I realize she has no intentions of going out again. Rarely do I go on a date and never hear from her again.

I went on 16 dates with 12 different women... only got 4 second dates and had one 4 month and currently in a shaky 9 month relationship. I never got a second date off of first date dinner date. I got 2 x second dates off of a coffee house first date, and 1 x second date off of a walk in a Zin Garden, and 1 x second date off of a $20 minor league baseball game.

Maybe they’re shy. At least that’s why I don’t want to video chat. It triggers my social anxiety, interestingly enough more so than an actual in-person date. Like how some people (including me) have a phobia for speaking on the phone. They may also be scared you’re gonna be a perv who’s just after showing of your penis, that’s not uncommon for men to do on video like that.

Maybe suggest an ordinary phone convo. How long are you messaging with them before suggesting meeting up?

Couple weeks usually.

Within that time, you should suggest a phone convo or, alternatively suggest going Dutch on the first date.
It's not uncommon to decide after a first date that you aren't really interested.
