I’ve to put it out there - it is NEVER OK to use someone as a stepping stone FOR WHATEVER REASON. Dating is not something that can be practiced. You don’t date someone you don’t intend to have a future with. What’s the point of falling in love knowing that there’s an expiry date to that relationship? With each breakup (because of genuine reasons like incompatibility etc), we learn a little more what love is and what love is not.
You can practice having sex with a girl (if she consents of course and with her knowledge that it’s meant solely for pleasure/practice and nothing more) but you cannot practice loving someone on another person.
To hell with whoever told you to “practice dating”. It wouldn’t be nice if you were the one being “used” by a girl who’s “practicing dating” to work her way up, right?

Nope. You can just read theory and gain an understanding that way.

I mean it depends what you mean by "dating". The rituals, the mechanics of accoutrements of romantic pursuit are kind of less important that a firm understanding of women's psychology.

If you understand how their brains' work you can be in any unfamiliar or uncomfortable situation and you'll still be intellectually comfortable with whatever and be able to roll with it.

No sure you need practice but do it on girls your attracted too. There is no reason to date people you already know isn't a fit. You are going to have to do many dates to in todays dating market anyways. So no need to add more to it.
