Depends on your definition of a "little break" it means different things to different people. To some people it means that you're just going to separate for a little bit but the relationship is still active.

To others it means that it's a break as in a break-up. In that case he didn't cheat because your relationship was no longer active.

How long was the break? You should watch the episode of friends where Ross and Recheal has this same fight. If you where on a mutual break then no, I won't say it's cheating.
