Should I keep dating someone who might move? Should I expect more from him even under the circumstances?

This man I’m dating tells me he likes me and misses me. That’s as deep as it gets. He doesn’t communicate much and I see him only once per month (but for a few days) now he lives 3 hours away (busy shift work plus 3 hours distance is why). We’ve been dating 5 months and he doesn’t want to be in a relationship because he might move. but he is sacrificing and spending money to go to a destination wedding with me. If it weren’t for the wedding I would just think he’s not into me. He’s inexperienced in relationships and he might move for work so I can’t tell if the reason for the lack of communication and vulnerability is me or the circumstance. He says it’s the circumstance but I can’t help but think that if he likes me enough he would not be able to hold back his feelings.

I can’t decide if I should be appreciative of what he gives or think it’s not enough.

could I be misunderstand him? Or is he just not that into me? He says things would be different if he knew he was staying. I can’t tell if I should wait it out or if he’s just making excuses and wasting my time.

I was in that situation and you have three options.
1- keep dating and hoping for the best which will cause you pain when he will move.
2- keep dating knowing he will move and not getting emotionally too invested so you won’t get hurt.
3- move on.
I unfortunately did number one and it was a mistake. I wish I would’ve ended it and moved on.

Yeah. See how things go. Unless you don’t want to. But if you care about him and you both want to. Then sure.
