Some women might but they are generally the sort who had no intention of paying their own debts whether they find a man or not. Debt is a weird concept. On one end of the spectrum, once you have the thing you wanted by taking on the debt, why would you want to start paying for it after you already have it? The sacrifice is supposed to happen before the reward. When the sacrifice comes after the reward it is contrary to our natural understanding of the way the world works, which is why it is vaguely considered a mark of intelligence and civility to be able to pay off ones debts.

Then on the other end of the spectrum you have predatory lenders who basically try to get people to go into debt in such a way that they spend their life paying back interest. Get enough of these and the lender has a lifetime income without needing to do any work. And, if the lender is really successful, they can set themselves up as the only lender and so become the gatekeeper for whom is allowed to be civilized.

But most girls aren't thinking of any of this. They're just doing what they have to to get what they need.
