Do guys only share their finances with girls they see a future with?

I was talking to a good friend of mine and had mentioned that a male friend of mine had spotted me a large sum of cash. I didn't think anything of it at the time. She immediately pointed out that he was obviously interested is something serious with me because men don't usually share their income with anyone.

Is this true? Obviously I understand that he trusts me since he is willing to do so much for me.

In your situation I couldn’t say exactly. You said he spotted you a large amount of money, which to me means eventually you’d pay it back. I have a few female friends who I’d lend money to if they needed it because I trust them. They’re good people. Not cause I have serious feelings for them. Now if I was in a relationship w a girl for quite sometime yes I’d give her money if I could afford it w out putting us in a hole. I wouldn’t expect her to pay me back. But we’d have to have been together for a long time, possibly even married if I was giving her thousands of dollars. A few hundred bucks I’m not going to make a big deal of it. Money means a lot to men. Most of us aren’t just going to give it up to a girl for no reason

Depends on the man but if you’re interested in him then tell him if not just move on and if he makes a direct move just be kind but direct.

I don’t think for me personally I would flaunt my finances with someone as a means to spark attraction men need to be VERY careful about that if they’re looking to build a genuine connection. They don’t want somebody after your wallet.

I think it depends on the guy. To some guys 😺 is more valuable than gold. To other guys (like me) would never loan out money to ANYONE outside my family. Least of all a woman I was dating. It sets a bad precedence. And so you don't think I'm picking on women. Decent women do not typically borrow from guys because they don't want to feel beholden at all.

It's kind of true. What your friend did doesn't say much one way or another about whether he sees a future with you, but I wouldn't discuss my money with a woman I didn't think was worthy of that information.

IDGAF at all. My salary as a public employee was available to anyone with the internet & a calculator! I've shared plenty of generic financial info with people and we have loaned friends five figure loans 2x before.
