Do you think this may be related to one's subconscious?
It’s your subconscious memory and thoughts , our insecurities, our fears , our happiness , our sadness ect… mainly things we bury deep inside of ourselves … They say certain dreams mean something but to really say for sure who really knows , Sometimes dreams can be really intense to the point we think to ourselves maybe that dream was trying to tell us something? And we wake up thinking should we do something about it? In some cases yes and no , but only do it for
Yourself , don’t go running to the person you dreamt about and telling them your dream like
You are on this mission trying to solve a mystery, they will think you are nuts lol you can joke about it and say I had this intense dream about you and not sure why but that again is up to you for a conversation starter lol if you want to go down that road lol I believe dreams are telling us something that is impacting our own selves if it’s a reoccurring dream then that to me is telling me something is really wrong , , If someone is constantly having nightmares those nightmares are pretty much coming from a fear and an insecurity that’s buried inside of themselves , a trauma they experienced or witnessed in their lives , something they tried to bury away. If we dream about a loved one , a partner , or family member , a stranger , those dreams are pretty much a memory or a thought of that person from our subconscious memory , if you dream about your partner leaving you or cheating on you that is stemmed down from an insecurity or something that is unanswered , hoping that person would never betray you that way , So to say for sure if it really means something that’s what makes it hard , because dreams are made up of our own conscious memory and thoughts , The brain is a powerful thing , and it can easily impact our lives , Why it’s best to keep it to yourself and figure out why you had this dream about someone. Don’t use it as a clue to solve a mystery or to accuse your partner that they are going to cheat on you or leave you. But use it as an indicator that something is wrong that you tried burying away yourself That’s why they have jokes about a girl waking up next to her man and she starts hitting him for no reason and he says WTF is wrong with you? And she said you cheated on me in my dream lol if you dream about someone you loved that passed away and is no longer here on Earth that dream is going to impact us a lot because it’s someone we loved and cherished and miss. To say for sure if they are really coming to visit us is a mystery but it’s better to believe that they did instead of just saying it was a dream , When my ex wife was cheating on me and I didn’t fully have proof , my dreams were telling me something was wrong , mainly from the way she was treating me , the distance the arguing and fighting the lack of intimacy and affection etc. My dreams were of her leaving me , I had a few of those dreams in a row to make Me analyze what was really going on , and helped me put on my investigator hat , so if you are having reoccurring dreams of this person then something inside you might be trying to tell you something , If it was just one dream then don’t believe in it to much

I dream of my ex all the time. She was cheating on me and did some pretty nasty stuff after I dumped her and i was hurt pretty bad. I still dream about her and that we are still together in out family home with our little boy, sometimes it's back to our time together when she was first pregnant or that she's pregnant again with another child a daughter this time. Even sex dreams and memories. She hates me with a passion because even though she was doing all this mad horrible shit to me and behind my back she blames me. I think she more pissed because I dared to dump her more than anytime but also that her friends and family found out it and the STD she brought home. I think she had a plan that she'd leave me and paint me as this abusive monster and then go official with this other guy 3 months later basically replacing me in her and my son's life but I ended up with 3/7 days custody because it turned out she had been kicking the crap out our son, then I involved social workers and having been advised to record and video everything I caught her trying to black mail me with a false rape allegation, and the restraining order, non molestation order and prohibited steps order she was trying to get before the custody case didn't happen. She had been badgering me about getting joint bank accounts and credit cards before I ended it glad I didn't bother. I put my house in my father's name years ago for tax reasons so when we divorced she didn't get half and after when my dad put it back in my name I evicted her and moved back into the house she had the police put me out of. Funny saying all that, I guess I mourn for her, it's like she died or at least the person I thought she was died.
Dreams are the brain's processing and sorting of whatever it experienced that day.
Yes, of course it can be subconscious. But more often it is simply a way to categorize and file information. We experience them as stories, strung together in what we interpret as some some of framework, structure.
You can look at it as trying to tell you something you are not consciously aware of. But it's not typically that complex.

Reasons Why You Dream About Someone
Everybody has persons in their lives that they consider frequently. We always think about them, whether we have a crush on them or they are our greatest friend. So it seems sense that they would appear in our dreams! You may have someone in your dreams for the following reasons:
1. You think about them a lot.
It makes sense that someone would appear in your dreams if you can't stop thinking about them. It seems sense that the individuals on our minds the most would show up in our dreams because they are a mechanism for our subconscious to absorb all the thoughts and emotions we have during the day.2. You still harbor affections for them.
It's likely that the person you have unresolved feelings for, whether you're crushing on them or you've had a falling out, may appear in your dreams. Given that dreams are a mechanism for us to process our feelings, it stands to reason that we would dream about those with whom we are most emotionally connected.3. You and they are resolving a problem.
They are more likely to appear in your dreams if you are working through anything with them, whether it is a conflict with a friend or an issue at work. It is not strange that the person we are thinking about the most would emerge in our dreams because they are a mechanism for us to process our thoughts and feelings about a situation.4. They stand for something else.
Sometimes the people we see in our dreams are not real people, but rather, they are representations of something else. If you dream about your crush, for instance, they can stand in for your need for love or attention. A friend in your dream could be a symbol for your need for company. Your dread or uncertainty may be represented by an enemy in your dreams.5. You are linked to them.
If you have a close relationship with someone, whether by blood or by friendship, they are more likely to appear in your dreams. It is not strange that those who are closest to us would come in our dreams because they provide a mechanism for us to sort our thoughts and feelings about them. Why Do We Dream About People?
Everybody has occasionally fantasized about someone in their life. We've all had dreams involving other people, whether it was a personal friend, a member of our family, or a famous person. Why, therefore, do we dream of people?
Why we dream about people is the subject of several hypotheses. According to one notion, we dream about those who are significant to us. We tend to spend the majority of our waking hours with the individuals who are most important to us. It follows that our dreaming about them makes sense.
According to a different hypothesis, we dream about the people we find attractive. This also makes sense because our minds are always focused on the people we find attractive. Therefore, it makes sense that we would also dream about them. Finally, some individuals think that we dream about people with whom we still have unsolved concerns. This could be someone with whom we had an argument but failed to find a satisfactory solution. Or it can be someone we are envious of. In either case, we often think about these people, therefore it stands to reason that we would dream about them.
What causes us to dream about people? Although there are a few possibilities, the reality is that we are unsure. All of these theories might be true, or it might be something completely different. However, there is one certainty: daydreaming about individuals

Do you mean dreaming about someone you’re into? Or just anybody you know? If it involves the person you're crazy about it’s because they're on your mind all the time, so your subconscious is just replaying it.
Love your username by the way, sounds cute lol.
I don’t know. I have had dreams where me and someone had the same dream. Almost like we really seen each other in our dreams.
Other times I think just because we seen them. I don’t remember many of my dreams.
It's definitely related to one's subconscious. It means you have unfinished business with that person
I don’t dream most days cause I’m too relaxed and calm to dream and the dreams I have are symbols which I believe are messages from God.
If it was a guy dreaming... he just had a woody in bed that night.
Of course your dreams are tied to your subconscious... duh?
Good question. Maybe it means you are having a very deep sleep.
As a 10 year practising hypnotherapist and student of Carl Jung. It is my belief that people in dreams are representative, always. That is to say, they represent one of the 8 traits of the human Psyche.
At some point either aloud or silently, you asked a personal question to your subconscious and it used representational systems to express to you the answer.

The brain doesn’t turn off just because you are sleeping. The electrical impulses are still firing off with a mind of their own.
Watch horror movies before sleep and be almost guaranteed to have dreams.
Dreaming about someone specifically could mean anything from missing them to guilt or love.
While I don't believe dreams mean anything, yes, it is related to your subconscious. You remembered someone, along with other thoughts while you were sleeping, and your brain took all of those thoughts and strung them together into a dream. Your brain is designed to recognize patterns, so that's just a thing it does. It takes those random flashes of thoughts and memories and turns them into a story. Kind of like how you see shapes in the clouds. Is there a deeper meaning to it? Probably not.
Everything in your dream is part of your subconscious, conscious, or parts of both. You might want to see the Disney/Pixar movie "Inside Out". It really does give a fairly decent explanation of why people dream, what happens during your dream cycles, etc., and distill that into everyday, non-scientific words. If you see it, watch it a couple of times, and focus on different facets with each viewing.
Dreams are generally your subconscious sorting itself out, but why certain people are involved I do not know. I will be reading the other replies with interest.
If I dream about someone I usually just think it's because I was thinking about them before I went to sleep, not sure if that's true though.
They were subconsciously in your thoughts these last days and you didn’t like it so you tried to ignore those thoughts then your mind decided to tell you about it.
Nothing really. Your mind registers faces sometimes as an amalgam of people you see that day.
If you know your dreaming about an SO or loved one, it’s usually because of some stress your mind is working out.obviously, they are on your mind in some capacity
It might mean that you have been thinking about them or saw something that reminded you of them
you were thinking about them yesterday as dreams are a way of your head storing things away as you may need later, so I take it you like this guy or more; YES!!!
If it’s about someone on Gag it means you are on this site too much. I’ve already dreamed about two people on here.
Could be anything. I had a dream about someone but it lasted like 10 seconds. Then I had a dream about 2 people. All of it was about work.
