Trending & News I don’t do that. If I want someone to leave me alone. I’m pretty clear on it. I don’t ignore someone especially if it’s important.
If it’s a bad time and it’s nothing important or someone has no life and blows me up all the time. Might take time to respond. But I’m not “ghosting” them
If I was the type of terrible person who ghosted people, I would also not care enough to discern between "seen" and "read". I would just do whatever selfishly served me the most without regard for the pain and emotional cruelty I'm inflicting on others, the same as I did when I was ghosting.

I guess think about which one would be worse, which one is really going to upset that person more, and do that, since that's the kind of person you are.
@AndrésC64 ghosting someone is not "choosing not to interact with them". It's interacting with someone in a consensual way, then without warning or explanation cutting contact. And yes, it's a fucked up thing to do that fucked up people do. If that's you, and you want to rationalize how you're not a bad person for doing something fucked up to someone else, it's pointless of me to try and convince you otherwise as your defense mechanisms won't allow for reality to break through your delusion. But ghosting is definitely not a thing that kind, compassionate or healthy people do.
I never ghost people for no serious reason (unless the person has threatened me or been sending me repetitive abusive or insulting messages). Unless someone has behaved badly towards you, crossed boundaries or made you feel unsafe, they deserve to be treated with respect. Ghosting is a cowardly and immature way out of a situation, and highlights your own fragility and insecurity as someone not able to have a grown up conversation
None, be honest in your reasoning why you lost interest or why you feel it's not going to work out between you and wish them the best. People hate ghosting but for someone reason, you keep doing it.. makes no sense. Plus closure is nice and helps you move on easier, plus it's just respectful. The only time you should ghost someone is when they are showing signs that they could be harmful to you and themselves.

That's just it, I wouldn't try to ghost someone. I only ever leave a person on Read if I'm giving them the burn on purpose for being a dick, and even this isn't common for me.
Why are you trying to ghost them?
Block them. I say good by tell them why... wait until I see its read. If they reply I don't read it I just block them.
What's the difference between those two?
Right? All this technology shit...
I'd imagine they wouldn't care
First off, we'd need to know why you're ghosting the person. If they did something horrible and didn't apologize, just ignore them or bring up the situation at hand. Work things out if possible, if not, just ignore them. Pay no mind.
If I gotta ghost someone, I just... let their messages be. I got better things to do than care what they say if I've lost interest talkin' to them
What is the difference between ''leaving on read'' and ''leaving on seen''? And what platforms are we talking about? :)
Move away and change my number. By the way the new number will be unlisted. So they can't find me in the White Pages (aka Residence Phone book) The Yellow Pages is for business listings
I don't ghost people, but I can't tell the difference between "seen" and "read." I thought they were both the same?
With FB leave them on Read. In a relationship where I was not being a couple again with a now Ex, I ignored him for the whole day to make it seem I was away and then later I read his romantic messages.
its not really a mature behavior, if the conversation has been going on for some god forbid if you two have met and the other person expects some resolution, politely tell him
"Ghosting" is immature so I don't do it.
I would have enough respect for that person and myself and tell them why I couldn't see them anymore. Ghosting is what children do.
if i'm gonna ghost someone, i'll just mute their chat.
Just stop talking to them and delete the app or account
I have never done so, but I would think "Block and ignore." would be effective.
I don't ghost. Instead I do short responses.
I don't ghost people because it's shitty. I have forgotten about some things I was supposed to reply to though, but if they were to do something like send another message to get my attention if it's been a while, I'd reply then.
Lol. That's the same thing. "Read" and "Seen" is the exact same term.
Leave them in read.
That being said I would just rip the band aid off as they say.
I've never ghost anyone. I just tell them straight out I'm not interested in talking to them anymore
I block idiots, have left Instagram for good Google Chat? See ya wouldn't wanna be ya
I would never ghost to begin with, because its childish and immature.
Wait.. aren't 'seen' and 'read' same?
I break up over text.
I don't text anyone... ever.
How about blocking them? Ever consider that?
I don’t know the difference…
I'm sorry. I don't know what this means.
I mostly jump on seen and head out.
I will slap them and scare them 🤣
I'd block.
Nothing.
