How can someone just up and ghost you?

How in the fuck do you just up and stop communicating with someone after 9 months? Like texting hey sunshine one day and I text hey back then nothing else. It’s been 11 days and we’ve never went that long without texting. Why text the hey sunshine in the first place? Like we literally had the best sex a few days before. We had no argument or anything, how after 9 months, do u just randomly without an argument or anything just drop someone. I have not text him anything because I’m afraid of rejection and I sent the last text when I said hey back to him. I told him about a month ago that I love him and care about him and he said the feelings were absolutely mutual. Wtf I’m very hurt and confused. Like you go from popping
up at my job to see me to saying nothing in almost 2 weeks. Is this the new dating thing? I’ve only been in long-term relationships my whole life and after two years of being single this is what it’s like I don’t want no parts of this shit! I guess I’ll die lonely with my sad ass!

Ghosting is common but so is rejection. Maybe he is feelings exactly what your feeling. I feel like there’s also a power play going on, like the first person to reach out to the other looks too interested so you both are trying to play it cool when in reality you both are torturing each other.

If the last thing was “hey sunshine” & u said “hey” maybe he was thinking that it sounded to like unenthusiastic. Reflect on if u noticed that he’s insecure because he might’ve overthought that LOL.

reflect on if he is a player or if u felt like he was talking to other girls. “Talking” for 9 months and both you feeling liking each other mutually makes no sense if u guys weren’t in a relationship since you would want to be exclusive with someone & have them all to yourself.

Either way, rude af if he was “ghosting” you. I’m the type that would reach out since I would play out so many scenarios in my head & it’s better to listen to what they have to say.

maybe say something like “hey, I thought we were doing good so I’m not sure what went wrong. “

might be scary to send a text like that but 9/10 their response isn’t as bad as u think it would be. hope it helps

First of all, don't take this out on yourself. If all is true then it's nothing to do with you and you will find someone so you won't die alone.
Maybe something serious has happened to him or a family member and he has been busy dealing with things the past 11 days. I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet and give a little more time in case my theory is true. I believe there's something up, give it a few more days before concluding that he's ghosted you
