Met my friend, we'll call him George, on a dating website. We've known each other for about a month, maybe a little longer. We connected right away. At one point, we realized that our religions are incompatible, so we decided to be friends, with him saying that it's important to me, so we shouldn't be in a relationship. Let's be friends.
So, we've hung out twice. It's been friendly, but he's always wanted to pay, even though I say he's my friend, so he doesn't have to. I did tell him before that if it weren't for religious differences, I probably would have stopped looking (not very romantic, more matter of fact). He didn't reply in kind. After I told him that, we met up, and he said that his philosophy was to be friends first, because dating goes too fast. I think it's a good idea, but I digress.
We're both still on dating apps. The last time we met, he said that there was nobody else that he was talking to at the moment. That may have changed by now. We used the app we met on to chat almost every moment of every day. If I was not on there, I got a "guess you were busy today" text. If I forgot to say goodnight, I get a "guess you drifted off to sleep".
I wanted to kind of put some distance in there, because it's starting to feel like a relationship. So, I deleted the app, which I basically just used to talk to him, and gave him my number and last name, saying if he wanted to talk sometime, here's my number. I gave him my last name, which he didn't give me, in kind. He still texts me throughout the day.
His background is that he's on the more monogamous side, had a relationship that lasted several years, and it sounds like she left because of lack of chemistry. He's been very forthright and that kind of thing, and always very kind.
I want to know how he feels about me, out of ten, because I'm afraid of being moral support when he starts seeing/sleeping with someone. Is that how he sees me, or is he interested?
